The problem with LED light
From smartphones and screens to car headlights and overhead LEDs, modern life is full of artificial LED light. These LED sources emit concentrated peaks at 450 nm (blue light) and 590 nm (yellow-orange light).
Though narrow in range, these wavelengths are strongly linked to glare, reduced contrast, eye strain and fatigue. For glasses wearers especially, the impact can be distracting, uncomfortable and even unsafe.
Why traditional solutions fall short
Until now, clear ophthalmic lenses have never been designed to address the specific effects of LED light. Instead, most solutions rely on broad blue light filtering lenses, which block large sections of the visible spectrum. While these can reduce some discomfort, they often dim brightness, distort colour and reduce contrast, making everyday vision less sharp and less natural.
How LED PRO works
LED PRO takes a different approach: selective absorption.
It’s the world’s first patented clear lens specifically engineered to counter the disruptive effects of LED light.
Rather than blocking broad sections of the visible spectrum which can dull brightness and distort colour, LED PRO uses advanced dye technology to target the two LED peaks most responsible for glare and fatigue: 450 nm and 590 nm.
By concentrating the absorption of light at these narrow bands and allowing the surrounding wavelengths to pass through, LED PRO maintains a natural balance of brightness, contrast and colour. The result is sharper and more comfortable vision in any LED lit environment.
